"Dear Dr. Brenner, I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for the care and patience that you and your team showed Josh at his dental visit on 5/3 to fill his first (hopefully last cavity). Josh was so nervous about getting a shot and had worked himself up more than I realized when he started crying and felt dizzy in the chair after the "sleeping juice" started working in his mouth. Your pleasant demeanor, conversation and explanations to him during the procedure put him at ease as much as possible and he was able to calmly sit through the rest of the visit. Not always an easy task for a 6 year old. After all was said and done, and he was retelling his experience later that day and giving updates on his tingly cheek, he said it wasn't that bad and he still hasn't realized that he received a shot of Novocain.
